Christmas in Penzance

Penzance BID are going all out this year to make Christmas 2022 bigger and better than ever!
This year, the Christmas theme, as voted for by the businesses of Penzance is… ‘Christmas Beside the Sea.’
A Christmas Window Competition will see the town’s businesses competing to create the best festive window in keeping with this year’s chosen theme. Shoppers will be able to nominate their favourite display from participating businesses online at www.lovepenzance.co.uk with the most popular outlet winning a £250 prize. The Christmas Light Switch On will be at 5pm on Saturday 26th November. The Christmas Market will be trading from 10.30am onwards on this day, where you can browse an array of local artisan stalls for that perfect Christmas gift. As always there will also be street entertainment and music throughout the town all day and the Switch On will be followed by a family friendly silent disco. The Humphry Davy Lantern Parade is back for 2022! The parade will take place at 5.00pm on Saturday 17th December. There will also be street entertainment, Silent Disco and a second Christmas Market, which will start at 10.30am tha morning. Penzance BID will be holding workshops at local schools in November for the creation of the parade lanterns. They are looking for volunteers to assist with the parade on 17th December.
