Penlee Park Open Air Theatre’s 75th Anniversary Season is packed with both national and local performers. June events include the debut performance of Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman on JUN 3rd 7.30pm – a fabulous married duo who are internationally across the European Folk scene and it’s their first visit to Penlee.
Another first for the park is The Whisky & Swing night with the Saxy Maids – a four piece saxophone combo on JUN 10th 7.30pm. Curated by Helstone’s
whisky from Long Rock, there’ll be a range of whiskies on offer plus our usual bar and hot food!
On JUN 30th ISYLA are live in the park – Lizzie Freeborn and Amy Woodburn – they combine a love for cinematic arrangements, dynamic harmonies and sultry grooves and since their debut ISYLA’s have featured on BBC Introducing, Absolute Radio (Frank Skinner) and performed a live session on Radio X
(John Kennedy).
Looking ahead into July – The Old Time Sailors JUL 4th 7.30pm – if you love sea shanties then this is a not-to-be-missed experience as almost 20 fully
costumed singers and musicians take to the stage! Those that know claim they are better than our own Fishy Friends!
